Kurata Sushi

Kurata is perhaps the best kept secret of Portland sushi. Tucked away in the suburb of Lake Oswego, the small mom-and-pop sushiya has a wonderful selection of raw and cooked items, including some hard to find dishes like takoyaki, octopus croquettes made famous in Osaka. The nigiri at Kurata are excellent, showcasing technique with the cutting and seasoning of the fish as well as the rice.
